Wonderland 5 is out… Disney has also announced plans for the trade, apparently the flyers say its going to be  “a beautiful, collectible, jacketed hardcover graphic novel.”  Price  $19.99, release date July 2008,  ISBN  1-4231-0451-X! :p

Liquid City

Have been putting together an anthology featuring South East Asian Creators (alone or collaborating with artists from elsewhere), titled “Liquid City“.

Things are moving along, with contributions from the likes of Lat, FSC, Shari Hes, Leong Wan Kok and Jon Foster. A partial list of contributors here. I’m working on a story with Mike Carey, as well as a new Malinky Robot short. Watch this space for more updates! :p

Born in East LA

One of the most inspiring fellow students at RISD was a senior called Vincent Valdez, who did all these amazing paintings inspired by his own chicano background.  I’ve been wondering what he’s been up to since, and recently got an email from a friend about his latest project. Its a doozy! :)

Long distance

I’m trying out this skype thing, so anyone else using it my email is sonny123@singnet.com.sg :)

Blur

I’ve been really wanting to get more involved with the illustrator’s community here in Singapore, and the recent OIC Portrait Day seemed like a great place to start. Only i got the dates all wrong and missed it completely. The term for this i think must be Blur Sotong :p

Anyway, been buying lots of books for reference material for the next Malinky Robot. one thing I would like to find are english translations of Shigeru Misuki’s WW2 stories. Any leads? :)
